My setup - what ecu? need help!
Hey everyone, well my project with my DA is complete and this is what i have done so far.
b18a1 block
GSR head
GSR water pump
GSR oil pump
GSR timing belt
ITR pistons
ITR rings
ITR manifold
ITR throttle body
B16 Tranny with ITR LSD
Act Stage 2 Clutch
Jun Flywheel
ARP rod bolts & head studs
shot peen rods
stiffened valve springs
B16 Headers
Hondata Gaskets
AEM SRI
NGK 8mm Wires
NGK Iridium Plugs
The car is sitting in my garage, and waiting for other minor things. I wanted to know what I should do with my ecu. I want to chip it with a hondata, but I wanted to know if I can just use a switch for my vtec and use my stock LS ECU. Need some help with the ecu, not too good in that area. Thanks

whaaa??? your vtec engages when a certain rpm is reached. you can't put a switch

Running VTEC requires you to run a VTEC ECU. You have the same setup as I do. It wouldn't be LS/VTEC without an VTEC ECU. Then it'll just be an plain LS again.

ok, thanks for all the replies. I am getting my ecu chipped with a hondata. This guy is going to give me the harness, soldier the chip, tune my car, and run a dyno for $400. Is that a good price?

yep, a chipped p28
i think thats not a bad idea... just one dyno run though? that kinda sucks.

get a p28 with either the hondata s100 or the s200. then get it dyno-tuned. you will not be dissappointed with it. make sure you have a good tuner.
