Default quick LS/VTEC question

Once the head is slapped on with all ports plugged and tapped with oil line installed to the LS block, can you just run a 98 type R ecu instead of having your stock LS ecu with a vtec controller?

Try to get your hands on a chipped P28.

If you have a 96-98 vehicle then you can use the ITR with no problems...just run the knock, vtec, and vtec pressure to the corresponding pins on the ecu. PLUG AND PLAY sort of.

That depends... what head did you use ? GSR or B16 ? (or ITR...) The ITR ecu, if you are already OBD2, will have the best fuel maps for a B16/ITR head/mani combo. If you have a GSR head, the GSR ecu would be better for fueling.
