Default loss of power: ls/vtec

I'm new here and no honda guru, so please bear with me. I recently bought a 90 integra from a friend. I was told that it had a b18b block with a b16a2 head and all type r internals. He said he dynoed a hair under 200hp to the wheels and 200+- ft./lbs of tq. Not even 24 hours after I recieved the car, a friend of mine decided to start pushing buttons on the VAFCII which through everything out of whack. To add to my troubles, the car started to severly overheat. I got it retuned at a local tuning shop, but it only dyned 143hp and 118 tq. My question is, did her messing with the VAFCII or the overheating damage something to lose so much power, or did i just plain old get screwed over? If I have left any important information out, please let me know. Thanx.

Ryon

200ft/lbs torque????? sounds like he was probably lying to you about the power figures. i dont think messin with a vafc could screw things up that bad.

Yea I think he lied about the figures. 200 torque NA for a ls/vtec is rediculous.

The motor must be completely stock if you only made 143whp. Unfortunately the guy lied to you. Because that sounds about right 143whp with stock bottom end and stock head. He might of been lying about the hype-r internals also. He doesn't sound like a friend to me........

Stock b18b doesn't have vtec, does it, cause I can feel it kick in. If he's telling the truth about the b16a2 head, wouldn't that be more than 143 hp?
