i was looking for a quiet muffler that is very inexpensive because im playing to go turbo in about two months. i saw the oval magnaflow muffler thats 5 by 8 and was wondering if this muffler is going to be quiet. which one would be better the center/center or center/offset muffler would be quieter. and how does it sound?

 

magnaflow wont be quiet, but if you go with it depending on what model all 92-00 civics would need a center/center

 

its not quiet, but its pleasing to the ear. not raspy/ricey at all. they have a nice deep low bassy sound to them

 

also depends on piping diameter. I got 3" piping all the way back, with 18" resonater and the 5 x 8 magnaflow your talking about. (center to center flow)

Its not too loud and annoying, not raspy or ricey sounding, just like you'd want a turbo car to sound.

I have "heard" that the thermal is quieter, but I have no first hand experience.

 

i'm planning to get 2.25/2.25 muffler. how about the es ovals how do they sound compared to the magnaflow mufflers? i kind of like the way the stock 300z sounds. do any of them kinda of sound like that? and btw what company makes es ovals?
