Default Offset/Center Muffler

I know must of you go with the Center/Center inlet/outlet muffler's.

However I have a Dynomax super turbo which is Offset inlet and center outlet.

Does anyone have pictures of a offset/center muffler on their car

this is a 94 DB8, I got the muffler cause its big, quiet, 2.5", flows good and looks more stock then other muffler's

Anyone have experince or ever seen one installed?

thanks

I install them on hondas all the time at my shop for factory replacments. Personally it looks fine but just a matter of taste. Remember from. That center to offset might only be roughly 2-4 inches so might not be that noticable

Well depends what your doing with the exhaust. If you're doing it as a bolt on or an exhaust shop welding. If it were me I would remake the over axle pipe to keep the muffler in the correct exit location and just change up the inlet. If your doing a bolt on it depends which way the inlet went. One way will push the muffler to the passenger side and it more than likely wont work because it'll be against it and probably not mount right. If it's going the other way towards the drivers it should be ok just a little over from factory. You best bet in my opinion is to have an exhaust shop weld it up and remake the over axle pipe.

Yeah thats what I was saying to this exhaust shop guy today. he said he wont do it unless its center/center.. I guess I will be buying my own welder and doing the fab work my self.. the muffler its self is 25" long tip to tip.. its too long for your average coupe but since the 4 door has a extra 4" to work with.. I am going to stop by another exhaust shop tomorrow to see if they will do it.

its one of the quietest mufflers i've ever run. sounds similar to the stock itr or rsr mufflers granted you have a cat and a resonator on this set up

Super Turbo muffler = quiet? haha not the ones I've heard. Dynomax Ultraflow mufflers are more quiet than Super Turbos.

Yeah I run either a T1R resonated test pipe or a 2.5" cat. and a resonator

I'm glad it will be quiet.
