New owner, strange problem
Hey everyone,
Got a new type R about a 2 month ago. Great car!
But some strange things started happening.
Last week, as I was coasting through a parking lot, car was slightly rolling in neutral, the rpm's dropped low and the car died??
Started right back up and no problems since.
However, this morning, when I started the car the rpm was fluctuating. It kicked up to about 1500 rpm then down to 500 rpm, almost felt like it was about to die. It did that for a couple of seconds before settling to it's regular idle.
It's 01, with an intake, header and test pipe, with about 45k miles. Hope it's not anything serious.
Any advice???

-try resetting the ecu
-try adjusting the idle screw
-disconnect PCV electric connection (OBD2 = CEL , OBD1= still ok?
try the first 2 ..
i dont think it's a serious problem good luck

Leave that alone until you get the CEL's pulled.

Finally got the code pulled at autozone.
136 and 137. Low voltage secondary 02 sensor and something else related to secondary 02 sensor. But I know it's because of the test pipe.
Please help!
It's taking away my new car joy.

I thought the spark plugs didn't need to be changed for like 100k miles?
How much and where's the best place to purchase the fuel filter and spark plugs?
I don't think it's louder. Not much louder than my friends GSR...

Definitely...It could be something as simple as the original owner handwashed the engine bay before selling the car to you and too much moisture got near the sparkplugs. Ive seen this happen many times.
