Default ls V-tec questions?

ok here's the scoop! this guy i'm trying to help is putting together a motor. he has taken the crank and rods out of a gsr and put them into an ls block and had the ls pistons assembled onto the gsr rods! I'm not entirely sure this is going to work because the rods are a different length, block heighth is different and stroke too! so here it is ls block, gsr crank and rods with ls pistons, some body tell me this won't work so I can rub it in real good! this guy is a complete jack a@#! thanks

he IS a complete ******* idiot. so hes destroking the engine, and using LS pistons? wow, sounds like hes trying to spend lots of money to have an engine less powerful than a stock gsr... i say dont say **** and let him do it, THEN laugh at him and call him a moron

I cant believe there are really people like this. I mean who is allowing this kid to touch the dipstick, let alone build a motor

P.S. i hope something is really wrong with the gsr block, and he plans on boosting the hell out of his "new" setup since his compression is going to be uber-low

So are you trying to put together an LS/VTEC or CR/VTEC? Well either way it's a similar job. Did you guys search before doing the VTEC swap? There's a list of parts that are required.
