accidently put 87 octane in my ls/turbo....
We just drained my buddies car by pulling the return line off the fuel pressure regulator. Connected our own line that went to a gas can. Started the car and drained the tank that way. Worked really well.
There is a drain bolt on the bottom of the tank. But I've heard stories about it not sealing again after it's been removed. Or you could just syphon it.

Ummmm...............don't worry about it. Now if you ran Diesel fuel in your car I would worry. 87 Octane will not harm your car. Maybe over a long period of time. Just maybe

Stock motor/compression? Just drive it and don't boost it until the gas runs out. Then fill it with higher octane.
Or just throw in some octane booster in there right now.

Octane boost is a surprising poor way to increase the octane rating of gasoline. You would be lucky to raise the octane rating of the 87 octane gas by even two points. Furthermore, it may contain organometallic compounds such as MMT or Ferrocene. Both of these have a tendency to destroy oxygen sensors and catalytic converters. But you have a couple of other choices. First of all, if it is available anywhere relatively close to you, get a few gallons of 100 octane gasoline. If you mix half a tank of 87 octane with half a tank of 100 octane, you will end up with roughly 93 octane. I know that 100 octane is available in Sacramento and Stockton. But I don't know if or where it is available in the Bay Area. Another option would be to add toluene to your gas. One gallon of toluene would be enough to raise the octane level of five gallons of 87 octane gasoline to 92 octane. But if you do this, it would also be a good idea to top your tank off with 91 octane. Because if you just pour one gallon of toluene into half a tank of gas, it will not be well mixed. Toluene can be purchased at most hardware stores that sell paint.

last year wen i had my ls turbo i ran 87 octane all the time and boosted all day... my engine never blew and it wasent even tuned... i was runnin off of a fmu... im pretty sure u will be good.. but to be safe dont boost till u fill it with higher octane
what is this catalitic converter you speak of where does it live
dood, just dont go into boost youll be fine ive actually had to get low octane when im on trips and thats all the gas station is 87 youll be allright just run your tank out as empty as you can get a little 105 say a gallon mix it with your 92 and your good to go. thats what i did at least.

That would be loud and annoying to have it always open.
Would be kinda cool though.

another way to fix the problem and save the fuel thats extremely expensive these days is to go to the store and buy a family size bottle of rubbing alcohol for like 3 dollars and put that into the tank if you didnt have over a half tank of low octane gas. if money isnt a problem then draining the fuel is the best way to deal with the problem. once or twice a year isnt going to hurt your car just be more careful next time.

I did it once... most of the engine bay was black, and I melted my hood release cable, lol

Do you have any friends?
Siphon that **** out and give it to them for free. Then go fill up with 91,92,93 whatever your state has. Not that hard.

ocatne booster is useless, is your motor tuned?
if its fine tuned with a stand alone i would probably fill the rest up with the highest octane you can find, and then just baby the car until it runs out
if its not tuned then just baby the car until the half tanks is gone and then fill it up
