Your A/C drive belt is in serious need of tightening. As a matter of good mechanical sense, have all your drive belts inspected at the same time. You can save yourself the hastle of breaking down in East Overshoe somewhere.

I had that problem VERY badly on my old car haha .. ::too lazy to fix it:: .. turned out .. all it needed was to tighten ONE SCREW that adjusted the tension.. soooooo .. get a Haynes manual .. look up checking belts .. and you should be capable of handling it yourself.

When the belts get old they get hard & slippery. Sometimes even when they're properly tightened they still slip & squeak. Maybe it's time for new belts...

Def check your belts.

If it's everytime then i would do this. Pour some water on the belt as it is moving.
turn the car off and then start it up again
if it's squeaks then either tighten it or loosen it accordingly. Or just replace it!

hey accord racing, where was that bolt?

How do I tighten the belt guys? The only thing I know how to do, is undo the bottom bolt of the alternator, and "lift" the alternator up, and obviously the higher you lift it the more tension on the belt. Then when you have it lifted up you have to tighten the bolt to hold the alt up in place. Is there something like a bolt you can just tighten that just tightens the pulley or belt or something? Thanks

the belts well if there is no nut to tighten it like on my 89 acord onthe alternator belt i get a bar like a crow bar or flat piece of steel and use that and pry on the alternator carefully to NOT over tighten the belt i can get a belt tension guage on mine and i use that to be sure i don't over tighten it
