Default Project SiR-T ((F20B EK)) Max Rice!!

Ok... Well Here is the scoop. I got this 98 Hatch. And then I got this F20B DOHC motor from Accord SiR-T's in Japan. So I will be making use of both by transplanting this F20 heart into my lonely chassis. Here are some pics....

Pics on pages 1,2,3,4&6.

The Head...

The Block

Repaired section of the block...

The Lonely Engine Bay...

And now.... The Money Shot....

Thanks for all the support... Im waiting on some parts, not a lot of exciting stuff got done today. Put the Cometic headgasket in, ARP Headstuds, and reassembled the head.

Waiting on New valve Cover, Alternator, wires, Plugs, Plastic gear covers, Flywheel Bolts... etc....

I love how quickly this stuff adds up.

Lighter than a H series, revs higher than one too.

Driven my mate's SIR-T Accord and Torneo before. Nice engines. Some H series stuff are interchangable.

Good luck.

Props for doing something different . Do they make mount kits for this though? Or is it all custom?

Hasport H Series mounts work and that is what I am using. So no customization there...

Yes a lot of the H series parts will swap over...

For Example, I used a thicker Cometic High Pressure Gasket for an H22, and H22 Headstuds, and they both seem to work perfect so far.

Once again I want to say thanks for the support and encouragement. It hasn't been easy sourcing all of these parts for something so different.

P.S. I am looking to see what other people think... Red Valvecover or Blue? (Blue is what comes stock, as you can see from the pics, this one is dirty and pretty roughed up) Red will contrast more in the bay though....

No. there is more knowledge about it now. But still miniscule even compared to the H22. Everybody tends to think that this motor is the Euro Accord type R, but What I have researched tells me that the Euro Type R had the Red valve cover with the H22 Vtec. 220HP.

Headstuds going in...

Block & HEad put backtogether...

Top View...

Sorry, Im a Pic *****...
