Re: (JapJunkie)
Well my new "blue" valvecover will be here on Monday or Tuesday. I had to keep the F20B somewhat original. Otherwise everyone would just think it was another H22.

Re: (ceLtic*)
Just put My Silicone hose and couplers on order in Black, T clamps, and Aluminum Bends. I hope I didnt make a bad choice by not using blue, but I didnt want too many colors of blue going on. What you guys think?
*Did I mention I will be turboing this in the future???

Re: (EK16B)
Mine was Auto. So mine was an SiR model. So a little less HP, but better midrange power which I dont mind. The Turbo will be taking care of the top end, plus the turbo will give me the ability to add a T after SiR making it SiR-T

Re: Project SiR-T (hatch34)
Well of course I ran into a couple of more snags...
Stupid me I had the wrong mounts sitting in my garage for months. Hasport sent me EG mounts instead of EK. Anyway so those are being shipped back, and mine will be on the way by thursday...
The motor mount bracket from the F20B is different than the H22A so I gotta get one of those. You can see what I mean in this photo...
I cant find my crank pulley...
And the shifter is the big bulky one, so I am getting one of the older model shifters with the flat metal bottom so it will sit flat and fit with my console...
So the progress will be dormant this week. Although the new valvecover and plastics will be on, so I will post some pics of that I suppose...
**Before I forget... Thanks to Marcus at Heel-Toe Auto for putting up wit my ordering and questions of different miscellaneous crap. **

Hasport H Series mounts work and that is what I am using. So no customization there...
Yes a lot of the H series parts will swap over...
For Example, I used a thicker Cometic High Pressure Gasket for an H22, and H22 Headstuds, and they both seem to work perfect so far.</TD></TR></TABLE>
The F20B is essentially a destroked and debored H22... It has an 85mm bore and 88mm stroke in an F-Series block as opposed to an H22 with an 87mm bore and a 90.7mm stroke... The decreas in stroke and increase in rod length gives you a better rod/stroke ratio allowing you to safely rev an F20B higher than an H22... The F20B head is essenitally the same as Type-S H22 head but with smaller valves, smaller combustion chamber bore, and reshaped combustion chamber to have the same volume as an H22 head even with a 2mm smaller bore... The SIR model(auto) has smaller cams, but are still larger than the Type-S cams, but also has a smaller throttlebody which all contribute to more midrange power... All top-end parts are interchangeable with H22 parts... The only things that are different are the block(including crank, rods, and pistons) as well as some parts that attach to the block(i.e. mount brackets)...
