B18A - B18B
The b18a is found in the 90-93 da and the b18b is found in the dc. B18a 130hp- B18b 140 hp. B18b does have more tq but I can't remember how much more.

There's no "better" Per se, but if you want a simpler swap, 90-91 B18A is fine. Less power, but less wiring. OR, ideally, get a 94-95 B18B. OBD-I and ~140 hp.
EDIT: Really though, the newer the better. You can run OBD-II electronics such as the distributor and injectors off of an OBD-I LS ECU. That's the best of both worlds!

Here is exactly what non vtec b18's come as:
90-91 B18A 130hp, obd0
92-93 B18A 140hp, obd1 -better int manifold and cams
94+ B18B 142hp- (obd1 in 94-95, and obdII in 96+), slight tweek in ecu

Nice pics. The B18B is 94+ and YS1 tranny was only in production in 1992 and 1993. That set up makes 142hp.
Its super easy to swap over the injectors, distributor and ecu for 1990-91 model B18A engines.
Looks good, must be fun to drive.

in my opinion the B18B is a smoother engine, at least compared to the 1990 Integra I had that was stock. I was never very smooth. I never could figure out why engine was in great shape equal compression across the board. I liked every other 94+ integra I've driven alot better. Maybe I just had a bad one or maybe the 1990-1991 engines weren't as good. dunno
