the compression calcs say that this will give about 11.5:1 CR

anyone tried it?

i searched and found nothing!

Well, US market B16 pistons in a B18C1 after having the head resurfaced usually come to about 11.6:1. It works great actually.

anyone know what the c/r would be with ctr pictons in a b18c1? otherwise, those b16 looks alright in there.

to work out compression ratios...

Kendall - cheers, also do you know if the wrist pin etc is the same?

Personally, I'd rather be using the PR3/P30 pistons and a head that flows like hell as opposed to using PCT's at all.

Rings and wrist pins are indeed the same.

whoa! over 13:1 with the ctr pistons in the gsr head/block. i don't think that would be cool. anybody tried this on regular pump gas?

i doubt there would be any point using cast PCTs with a 13:1 set up - you would spend some extra bucks on some forgies

I think u have to use b18 rods for the b16 pistons, because the deck height is different.
