please do a search. There's alot more to it then just getting a head and a few parts. You need to learn every aspect of the LS bottom end and learn why lsvtec can be both powerful, and unreliable.

That was a little harsh. Then again I bet you just wish you had V-tech.

Good luck with finding info on the conversion. I originally planned to do that but after researching it the gains weren't worth the price. I decided to save up for an h22 swap, but another choice for you is to replace the springs and retainers ($300 Aprox. + labor) and bump up the rev limiter. I pushed mine to 8200, but after about 7600 I run out of power. Im not sure if cams would help that, but I would assume so. Also, dont forget that ls engines love boost, you could put a turbo kit in for around $2000, if your engine is still good.

yeah after researching ...the gaines weren't worth it....so now i'm looking up turbo, and i've been looking on ebay for parts and i just realized that if you order all the parts seperate you can build your own turbo for about 1200 dollars thats including everything waste gate, hoses pipes, turbo , manifold, intercooler, blow off valves, fmu, etc. and even a map sensor by pass valve but i have seen full turbo kits for like 1500 so i wonder if you would just rather spend 300 more dollars and save your self mucho searching. only you'd still have to get a mapsensor bypass and fmu....hmmm
