Toda vs DTR
I currently have the following setup
Well I run an all motor B18c with the following setup:
Toda pistons
Toda spec c cams
Heavily ported head
1mm oversized valves
Toda header
2.5in straight through exhaust
Stock intake manifold and TB
Now, my future setup is going to include the addition of Individual throttle bodies and a 70mm straight through exhaust with the toda header.
I was thinking of changing to a DTR header if it was would produce considerable gains over the toda.
Does anyone know what kind of gains the DTR header would provide over the Toda?
Any first hand experience?

My friend installed a DTR header on his 00 JDM ITR motor and saw an 6whp gain over the stock 2.5" collector'd ITR header with a bad thermostat and on a dyno that reads 5whp lower (or very near) than the one he originally did his baseline on. My advice...one, stick with the same dyno. Two...I have heard nothing but good things about the power gains from the DTR, SMSP and Hytech headers, get one! They're expensive though.

sorry mate, that doesnt really help, i am after specific information for all motor setups and how the DTR benifits these setups more than the Toda

theres no comparison between a DTR custom header and a toda header...DTR is custom made to the specs of YOUR engine....you get what you pay for..Toda is a nice header just not a DTR..

Buy the two and compare them on a dyno. If it was me, I would get the DTR from the results and praise I have seen and heard. If your that serious, search around, a dyno sheet may be out there comparing the two.

When buying a Toda header it is a mass production header. If you have DTR build you one it will be made specifically for you setup. There are so many different ways to build a header for a certain motor. If you have Danny build you one have confidence that he has built tons of headers, and that he has the track experience and knowledge of what works and what doesnt work on certain combinations. I would definitely go with the DTR if you are looking to maximize the potential of your setup.

don't forget Toda is a road race company, they design are for road courses. Depends on what you are doing with your car, if you're using it for road race like me i go with Toda header. I have a 2 liters type r with toda c 12.5, toda header, valve trains and itb.
A few dyno's I found....
Here are the specs on the engine that each header was run on:
- 1.8l gsr block
- .025” overbore integra type r pistons
- integra type r head
- integra type r intake manifold
- accel 255cc injectors
- overbore civic si throttle body
- injen short ram intake with filter removed
- b&m fuel pressure regulator
- titan motorsports cam gears
- jun type II intake cam
- integra type r exhaust cam
- all dyno runs were made open header
Hope this helps
Keep in mind though that this is not his new "b unit" manifold, it was his older style that was used.
