Default ls vtec swap gasket prob......

hey wondering which gasket to use with a b16a head and ls bottom end ...use the ls or the b16 one???

both will work. watch out for the rivets on the LS head gasket. u may have to remove them if they touch the surface of the head and block. Use some copper spray for a nice seal.

Not True. My kit from golden eagle came with a b16 headgasket.

I did one for a customer and it came with a B16/B18c1. It worked fine, no over heating probs. oil leaks.

the GE kit come with a GSR head gasket. I'm using it with no problems.

Thanks guys i asked a shop down here (inlinepro) and they said that either the ls gasket will work and the b16 will work with some minor mods...but thanks

if b16 then it was modded slightly.... i was always told and always use ls.

So obviously, the LS will work. The GE gasket kit should already have holes for the dowel pins and junk made, while I think the LS's have to be adjusted. Just ordered my kit and ready to build
