I Just got my JDM power folding mirrors and have read up that I need to pretty much put all the innards from them into my usdm housings with the glass from the usdm. My question is how do I take apart my housings to switch all the innards over? I have looked over them and don't want to break anything, so please help me out.

 

are you doing this so that they will match your car? so you won't have to have the jdm ones painted? So, the glass is different? I didn't know that, never really looked into it... And does anyone know why the JDM fold? Whats the purpose?

are you serious? you couldn't even open the doors... you could climb out of the hach i guess... but seriously... folding the mirrors would make no difference....

 

I figured that since I have to take them both apart I might as well stick it all back in the usdm housings so I won't have to paint them, not like it matters, painting my car in 3 weeks anyways onjce my type r wing comes in, but yea, I need to know how to get the mirrors apart....

 

i think they fold them in before they drive into the parking spaces, then climb out the hatch sometimes.

 

pop the mirrors off, they wont break.
