I know this has probibly been discussed upteen times. But I am ready to fire up my Hybrid and remember something about something being much prefered to the 10W40 motor oil recomended by Honda. Mine has 118,000 on the tranmission. Recomendations?. Honda Dealer swears there is nothing but motor oil goes into it. But remember a recent link that disputes that, but I can't find it now.

 

Redline MTL and Honda's MTF are good.

do not use synthetic oil in your tranny it will **** it up trust me.if it didnt then honda uses it right.NO THEY DONT.so dont use synthetic.i use 20-50 reguler oil its better for the syncroses

 

When I had my EG I used Honda MTF. It worked much better than just regular old 10W-30.
