94 cx model / everthing bolts on fine but engine idle surges & i have one coolant port that has nowhere to go... has anyone on here tried this near pointless swap..
the coolant i could probably cap it off..but i dont know why the surging after i rev it say to 2500rpm it calms down then surges back up once..

i did the same swap on my cx. did u use new gaskets?

 

yes i used a brand new gasket . my d15 gasket fell apart so I bought one for the d16....

 

did u scrape the old gasket off really good or its the iac on the d16 manny

 

i cleaned it quite well ..i swapped all my stock sensors,beacause they worked fine before but it didnt seem to change anything..i'm not a mechanic by any means really & i'm not sure which one is the iac,I believe that is the closest one to the throttle body....

 

yeah on the back of the manny but i would say u have a vac leak somewhere

 

guess i'll buy a can of carb spray & blast it till i find it after work 2marrow...

 

D16 intake...?

Are you refering to the plastic intake TUBE or the intake MANIFOLD?

 

ANY D WILL SWAP EASY.

TRY FLUSHING YOUR RAD FLUID. YOU MIGHT HAVE AIR IN THE LINES.

 

the intake is off of a 1616z6,And yes its the intake , why would I change the plastic tube??
