HID'S ARE BADASS and thats what the type-r comes with over in the mother land. projector is just a buying scheem businesses use to get you to buy there ****. there not any brighter than stock but the lense spreads the beam of light out more instead of just straight. if you look at a DC2, they have projector headlights...... nothin special..... take my word, get HID's

Default Get Retrofitted HIDs from RSX-CT

Theres a guy on Club RSX who does Retrofitted HIDs; all of the peeps who had it done buy him have agreed that its the best way to go: whats Retrofitted HIDs you ask? Well; Its getting OEM projectors from cars like say the TSX, S2000 or even a BMW 3 series and making them fit in our RSX headlight housing. Its not like getting an HID kit from Xenon depot and just slapping them on. What RSX-CT does is: you send him a set of RSX headlights wether they be JDM, OEM or aftermarket. You tell him what OEM projector you want the HID from and he'll retrofit them to fit your car. He will even adjust the beam of your headlights.
So yeah just go to ClubRSX.com then click on lighting and look for some of his posts. I haven't done the retrofit yet; but I'm planning to with S2000 projectors.

Sorry no offense, but you don't know what your talking about...

HIDs are 3500 lumens at 4100k
Stock 9006 low beams are 1500 lumens

HIDs Are more efficient and brighter, Yes.

However Projectors are 10% more efficient than Reflectors, 55% vs. 45%, they are not just for show, they really are what makes or breaks a lighting unit...

Projectors have an extra optical lens which allows the light to be distributed more evenly and wider because the refraction of the light through the lens.

Even the crappiest projectors are usually better than the best Reflectors.

But unless you are going to do a retrofit, popping in an HID PNP kit usually is more than enough for most people.

The optics for Halogen reflector/Projectors is always more narrow than a HID relfector/projector.

See how wide my TSX/CTR projectors are?
