Default Problem with keyless entry and radio

ok so i have a 96ex civic and i have a aftermarket HU installed. i used the special harness that is needed to hook it up also. well this is my problem one morning i woke up and my battery was nearly dead. (enough that my car would not even start) I charged it back up and all. the weird thing is that everytime that i press the key fab the siren always beeps. (not normal) i cant figure it out. i checked all the wires and could find nothing. the only thing i could find is that the fuse box under the hood has a possible short comming from the radio and interior light fuse. which goes back to the keyless entry. Please help me out ...

if you are talking about factory honda keyless entry, it might have defaulted back to the original settings.

my sisters 01 sentra se had keyless entry from the factory. initially when she pressed the button, the horn honked. there was a simple program in the manual (actually it may have even been on the transmitter itself) that allowed it to be silent all the time. hopwfully yours is similar.

did you look in the owners manual of the car?

In any 96-98 civic w/factory keyless you have to keep the factory radio plugged in behind the dash using a t-harness available at a local audio shop. The keyless is partially built into the factory radio and must remained powered up. Make sure the green plug is also plugged back into the factory radio when re-installing or you could still have a problem. If it is plugged in, you will most likely have to have your keyless system re-programmed.
