turbo integra died on me today
I was sitting at a light on my lunch break when all of a sudden car starting running like ****. It droped to damn near stalling idles and as soon as i hit the gas it stalled out and white smoke started coming from my hood for a few secs. I pushed it out of traffic and called a tow truck in fear that it jumped timing or even worse. Poped the hood and the smoke was gone and couldn't smell anything. I looked there were no fluids leaking, it had oil, wasn't over heated (oil pressure/oil,water temp). Once i got it to the shop we checked for the obvious it had fuel pressure, it was sparking.
Now im stuck back at work and praying its nothin major. Though I fear the worst.

were you flooring on the gas before the light?
sounds like a piston fried...
Do a comp. test and leak down test you might have a bad piston. Pull head off

did your car make any noises...like rattlin..and do you have an oil pressure gauge?..if you do what dose it read?......somethin like this happen to my bros civic..and his pressure gauge shout to like 100 psi..found out later he had crushed rod bearings....it damaged his crankshaft too soo he went and got a new motor. well good luck!

My tuner/mechanic just called telling me he has it running. Ignitor in the Distributor went out. I guess that would explain the white smoke once i poped the hood. Sux i didn't get a good smell of the smoke or surley i would have known it was electrical ive smelled plenty of amps go up in smoke. WOOOHOO and i thought i was gonna have to spend 3G's on a fully built/sleeved block looks like i got a little bit longer. FYI ignitors are $175 for a genuine honda ouch but lot better then $495 for a whole new distributor. Ive got one on order from acuraparts247.com he's gonna let me borrow one out of a used dist until mine gets here.
