Does this happen to all Integras?
sometimes when I step on the gas pedal lightly at around 15-30MPH, the RPM revs up to around 6 but the car doesn't go. It's like the gear is not catching in. Then it drops back to like 2 and starts to accelerate. Isn't that what people call gear slipping? My car is a automatic LS, all stock. Does this happen to all integras because that's what one of my friends told me. Thanks a lot.
how do you check a torque converter?
sounds like it's slipping though...try new fluid first.
mine will also do that from time to time, the transmission is computer controlled and if you adjust the throttle(not purposely) while the transmission is about to shift, it gets caught off gaurd and won't shift immediately...making it seem like it's slipping. that may not be the best way to explain it, but the coffee has not yet kicked in.
but, changing the fluid is a good idea regardless. if happens everytime before and after the fluid change, the transmission is on its way out. if it's every once in a while, no worries.
