Default Skunk2 Coilover Install stock shocks-something wrong?

My brother just installed his skunk 2 coilovers on his 91 ef std..we went all according to the directions. When we put the coilover/shock together the coilover was all loose, but weve seen cars like that before so we figured it was alright. When we finished everything up and got the car off the lift, it was higher then stock. After shaking the car, the front lowered all the way, tucking the tires and all. The rear though, didn't lower at all.

When we went for a test drive, it rode horrible. The rear is just riding on the shocks, the springs arent even compressed. What could be wrong? Blown stock shocks? He is going to get some aftermarket ones soon because the ride is just unbearable, but until then..is something wrong with the install? Will the aftermarket shocks even solve the problem? TIA

Might be blown shocks, Skunk2's suck for our EF's that's why I got rid of mine, too bouncy!!

what??

you shook the car and the car lowered??

ther rear is riding on the shocks, but the springs arent even compressed?

sounds like you totally fucked up the installation.

blown shocks dont cause ride hieght issues.

Yea, I'm 99% sure its all correct..there were 4 people there one being a mechanic when we installed them., and it wasnt the first time we've done suspsension like this. I went and checked it today, the springs on the back are tight against the shock at the tops and bottom..but its still riding like ****.
