Default Gas meter incorrect!

ok i've searched and only found gas meter problems for accords/EG's..

My meter is whack, i fill the gas all the way up and it only shows it at 3/4 of the whole meter. Sometimes it would go down nonstop but i know it shouldnt cuz i got an HF and i know these are gas economy cars all hondas are

anywho there's probably somethign wrong with the sending unit or some sensor and i would need a multimeter to check something?

im still a newb so someone please elaborate

Just drain your tank all the way down. i mean all the way like empty your tank tell you feel you are just about out of gas. then get a full tank. really full all the way and force somemore in there to the top. This happened to me and everyone said replace the sensor in the tank or deal with it. try that and see what happens. it worked for me hopefylly it works for you.

If you want to drain your car completely of gas, get a small 1 gallon gas can and fill it up. Keep it in your trunk and run your car dry of gas. When you run out of gas, just put the one gallon in...it will take a few cranks to get the gas from the tank to the engine. Drive to a gas station and fill it slap full.

Same thing is wrong with my car. Fill it up and it shows about 7/8 full on the guage. Sometimes it'll say full. I've gotta try this little trick! Thanks guys!

Sometimes it seems you can accelerate really hard and the guage will go up to full. Dont know why that works

I've always reset he tripometer everytime I've gotten gas and used that to know when I was empty

My gas guage will be at the top when I fill up, but after driving for like 100 miles it goes empty.
