i have been driving with mine on for the past 2 years. all it means it that it is time for it to be inspected. if i am not mistaking it should be checked like every 7-10 years or something like that. i even drove my 96 sedan with it on for a year. i got into a frontal wreck back in 2001 that totaled her out because my air bags deployed. so they still work even when the light is on.

No, if the SRS light comes on it means there is a problem with the system. The system should be checked every 10 years, but the light does not come on to remind you.

yeah i thought the same thing too, drove it for 2 years....then decided to take it to honda
Turns out the SRS UNIT WAS BAD, so if i wrecked it, the airbags would not deploy and i would probably die
dont **** around with that light man

So for those of us who hate airbags, I could actually unplug the damn thing? I prefer the seatbelt and old school pre-airbag...lol

It's your car, the airbags make it more likely you'll survive an accident if your wearing your seatbelt.
