Clicking noise...not CV axles...
94 Accord DX/ 5sp /F22B2. I've been hearing this clicking noise lately and I just replaced both axles about 1 year ago. I thought it was a defective part, so I replaced the driver's side axle again about a month ago but it didn't help at all. Since then, I've noticed it's normally not clicking in turns, but when going straight. Any advice???
nope, they were replaced w/ honda bearings when I replaced the axles about a year ago. I haven't ruled it out as still a possibility though. It would just suck having to do all that work, then having to pay to have it pressed off and replaced again...not to mention the cost of a new wheel bearing.

In foward or reverse? What speed? Does it click faster as you go faster?

Both. All speeds. Yes. It isn't really noticable with windows up, and you can barely hear it with windows down, but if i'm in a parking garage or by a wall you can really hear it. I can't feel anything in the brake pedal, clutch, or steering wheel either. I've heard of a couple of things that it might be, but nothing that sounds fun to fix. And it isn't the sound like CV joints like rocks in a barrel, but it is like one click for every revolution of the wheel.

Is it more noticable when braking lightly?

throwout bearing?
maybe bearings going bad in tranny......mine are.......but then again i dont know if its cause i was running 17psi on it.
raise the front of the car, put it on jack stands......then go right under the tranny case and spin each wheel by hand. u should be able to isolate where the noise is coming from. at least thats how i did mine. btw.....its alot cheaper to just get a used tranny then to have work done on urs.

Bad alignment is certainly possible. It pulls a little bit and I've been neglecting getting that done. But the thing is the problem just recently started, or unless I just started to notice it because i have my windows down now that it's hot.
Too sharp turns is certainly a possibility. Are you telling me I can't drive my 11-year-old stock accord like a new NSX?
Good call on the hubcaps, they're bolt-on but i'll check anyway. I would feel like a total jackass if that was the case.

Braking makes no difference either way. It doesn't stop when braking, and I can't say it's more noticible either.
Throwout bearing could be possible. That does remind me, a few months ago, i would hear a click when I let the clutch out. Whether it was running or not, in gear, neutral, anything...It would always click once when I let the clutch out. For whatever reason, that has stopped. that might have something to do with it. ???

A few posts back you said the ticking was once for every revolution of the wheel. Check the stone shields on the front brakes, they are easy to bend and a rock could have gotten up there and bent it. The stone shield is the thin piece of metal just inboard of the rotor. You can also jack the front end up, with the tranny in neutral, rotate the tire/rotor by hand and see if you can isolate the sound. Of coarse have the ebrake on so the car wont roll.
