best intake manifold for all motor lsvtec
just looking for some words of wisdom from experience you guys might have had with different intake manifolds on your setups. i have a skunk2 manifold now, but if theres better manifolds out there, id like to know to maximize my power.
thanks
thanks
heres the specs of the motor:
arias sleeved b18b1
81.5mm arias 13.2:1 pistons
eagle rods & crank
portflow gs-r head
toda b cams
toda valvesprings, portflow retainers
dtr b-unit header
and i have the skunk2 manifold, but questioning whether i should go with something different besides throttle bodies

all around power, im tapped out at like 8600 with the todas im sure so im definitely looking to get as much low end punch as possible without completely eliminating power above say 8500

JG sheetmetal, seems to work well, I have no personal experiance but have seen dynos and they look promising.
Hrd to say then, b/c the Skunk2 may benefit you more being able to help you carry out that power to 8600. The B16 IM though will probably give you more all around power but will top out at about 8100 to 8200 on your setup. Just my opinion!

I agree, the b16 seems to dominate in the mid-range and lose out above 8000.
Damn thats my 420th post, I'm never posting again
This may be to the delight of some of you on these boards

i had the toda b's in my b20vtec setup and my power fell off dramatically after like 8500. so im thinking its the todas that are preventing me from making power higher than that. the ls block is equipped with a golden eagle 3 main block guard, and its balanced and blueprinted, so it should be good for at least 9k, do you think i should just invest in some other cams, and stay with the skunk manifold?

Well that depends on preference! Me personally I like to have a strong power curve that gives me my max hp sooner than higher hp numbers later on in the rpm range.
I would go for what has the most avg horsepower for the area under the curve.
