y would u want to put a b18 in an accord??? It would require probably quite a bit of modification but not worth it. i say go with a jdm f series or h series motor.

I'd like you to meet someone. His name is Torque. I dont believe the two of you have met. Actually, i dont believe he's met your friend, Mr. B18b. The three of you should get to know each other, though i doubt Torque and B18b will beceome very compatible. In fact, i bet on first sight, they will run away from each other and hide from you, vowing to never ever speak of each others name, ever again.

i agree ^^ lol u will also feel a lack of torque it dont really matter if its bored out or anything its still a 1.8 compared to ur 2.2 sure it might have 170 or 180hp at the fly compared to ur 125 or 130 (depending lx or ex) but ur gonna lack torque as fw190bvi said. There is no replacement for displacement.

the 90+ accord NEEDS at least 2L (generatlly speaking)........displacement = torque.....b18, even with mods, wont be an upgrade in acceleration, despite higher HP levels...the car is too heavy

damn, i didnt realize how low that torque was on the b18 compared to the h22. so i should prolly definitly go with that. what year of prelude should i get h22a1 out of?

what year accord do u have. Personally id go OBD1 lude motor with OBD1 accord and OBD2 lude motor with OBD2 accord motor. Simplifies the wiring. But OBD1 is ur best choice its more tunable.

you can use the stock tranny, but the gearing will make the car slower

Sorry its late lol. As fw190bvi stated OBD1 is the way to go cuz i have a 92 ex manual also. Im plannin to do the swap in the future whenever i get the cash.

U can use ur stock tranny but VTEC wont engage right i would recommend getting the whole swap. Plus ur gearing on the 92 is more broad so it wouldnt be ideal to use it for the h22 swap.

Just to throw this out there...did everyone just forget that F22B2 motors come w/ 130 ft. lbs of torque, just as much as a B18C? Obviously the H22 will be the cheaper and better swap, but the B18C's torque will be as good as the F22B2's stock torque...

Stupid idea for the swap though.
