hey try to start me car and need a jump once the car is jump it starts.... when i wait 15 mins and turn the car off and try to turn it back on it does not want to start or loses power. could this be the battery? alternator, ground, or starter

 

your battery possibly isnt holding a charge anymore. does it just die?? you can check if its alternator by taking off negative terminal on battery while running. if it dies then your alternator is bad if it stays running its ok

 

ehhh that pulling off the cable isnt really a recomended test.

turn ur car on put a volt meter on the battery cables, easy a 4 yr old can do it, put the red lead on the positive and the black lead on the neg

read the voltage , if its 13.6 and ABOVE ur good, below charging system is bad.

if ur voltage is to HIGH then ur regulator inside the alternator is bad and to much juice= frying ecus and fuses

 

Sounds to me your altenator is going out. Bring your battery to autozone. have them recharge it and test it. Also take out your altenator they will test it for free. Best solution!

 

Battery is toast, do not pull of the battery terminal, this can cause a large surge and fry your alternator or other electronics in the car. Take you battery to an Advanced auto, or auto zone and have them charge and test it.

 

yes in deed its my battery brought to a friends house and recharge it its also a deep cycle yellow top optima battery are these batteries good for my crx some people say that it will mess up my alternator

 

I had a yellow top optima for 2 weeks, It would drain itself, horrible battery in my case. I'll stick with a stock lead acid battery.

 

i heard the half size battery ODYSSEY PC680. Is pretty good. Sells for around 80$ with a 2 year warranty.
