Default Spark plug/ignition wire question

Looking for advice on the "Iridium" plugs, or similar, has anyone found them to be all that much better than a stock plug? This is for a daily driver 98 LX 4 cyl 5spd.

Also, except for the "pretty" colors, are the aftermarket ignition sets offering much in the way of performance? Or should I save my money...have 125k on what I think are originals. Nology, Moroso, etc.

personally, I feel the stock ignition components are good. I would just stick with stock NGK or Denso plugs and stock wires.

Yeah, the stock wires and plugs work well. I just replaced mine.

Iridium
Feel the car runs a lot smoother, less hesitation.

on a supra or accord, i high doubt you can get half a horse from the 60 bucks you spend. not trying to burst your bubble but if it would performs that much better, why the hell honda wouldn't put it on every motor they manufacture?

iriduium are known for sh-tty gas mileage, correct me if i am mistaken

"upgrade"sparkplug wires are big waste of money, unless the one you have is taking a dump on you, it wouldn't do a thing extra.
the only reason i would recommoned it to would be if you have a turbo or a high load electrical system.
