My 93 civic's speedo will not move while driving, has someone else had this problem..please help!!

 

is there a check engine light...maybe the speed sensor is bad

 

no, the check engine light does not come on. sometimes the odometer meter wont move also when the speedo does not move.

 

take out the cluster and rewind the gear in the back for the speedo......

 

does vtec engage? i'm having the same problem but it's just my speed sensor.. but my odometer doesn't move at all sense the sensor is dead..

 

i had that problem and it was a fuse your gas needle doesnt work also right?

 

My bro replaced his cluster and had that problem. There was this needle/wire you have to make sure is plugged in snug behind it all for the speedometer to react. It took a long while to fix using long needle nose pliers and a "pervert's mirror" to work behind everything without having to unplug all the cabling. He was so happy to remedy this.

 

my car is currentkly having the same problem, i replaced my VS sensor and it still doesnt work, the cluster i just took out of my parts car and it was working before this :S
