trust me. save your time and just take it to a machine shop. they'll have it sparkling in 30 minutes with their ultra 1337 high pressure steam tank. it'll get it cleaner than degreaser ever will.

they don't hot tank aluminum blocks. the chemicals in a hot tank will literally melt aluminum. they use a high pressure steam closet, think sauna+pressure washer it's some hardcore stuff, but doesn't harm the aluminum.

Simple green with elbow grease or Carb cleaner with elbow grease if you don't have access to cleaning machinery.

Do it how my homie did it, take a tooth brush and start going in circles, ofcourse he gave it to his (ex)gf to finish up the whole block

100% purple power, brush it and rinse fast. Repeat about three times and the block will look brand new.

I have a Hot Tank @ my job and I did my head before I did my lsvtec and it came out okay but I only left it in for about 15mns so but that was because the head wasnt bare and I was kinda nervous about having all the valves and **** in it but I'll give the brush and purple power a shot and if not good Ill tank it @ work again for like 3 hrs, lol

If you want it clean, use Simple Green.
