okay tonight i go to do a pull and i grind 3rd gear a bit (its been grindy) and then i go to put it back in and it will go into 3rd but as soon as i give any gas, it'll rev like its in neutral and i will not go anywhere. all the other gears are fine

could it be that i'm just low on tranny fluid or is my synchro just shot?

damn, can anybody else confirm...i'm using honda mtf right now, would changing it to GM Synchro Mesh change anything? i'm going to check my fluid level tomorrow...

 

Try holding it into 3rd gear, and if it still doesn't grab and it pop pop pop's and bounces your car, it's definately shot! I had that happen with my ZC, so I bought a S40 tranny from a 2000 Model EX for only 350 shipped.

 

synchros are shot. i have only had them pop out of gear when only letting off the gas not hitting the gas... just wait until you have all of your gears pop out except first.... very very very fun

i got some GM synchromesh today, going to change my fluid once i get outa work tonight

 

ok added some synchromesh tonight, it did nothing, still pops out

i'm guessin i bent something or synchros are done, oh well i have an lsd going i next weekend and new carbon coated synchros so i guess i'll have to wait = /
