Default Rip-off update

About 2 weeks ago I got an email newsletter from a company that I have dealt with in the past. The email stated it was a was a test newsletter with more to come, only to respond if I didn't want to receive it.
I sent a reply saying I'd only want a newsletter if they sent me the part I ordered 3 years ago and never got (even after months of discussion about back orders, refunds and other broken promises)
In response to my email said company seemed shocked, asked for my info and seemed like they wanted to fix the slip-up and send a similar part for my ITR. I said I have no need for that part (I bought one from a reputable company with great customer service, and received it in a few days). They asked for a list of what I wanted, and I gave them a short list that didn't even add up to what I paid for the first part. Needless to say I have heard nothing back from them.

I was willing to forgive and forget, and all they had to do was send some small token parts, but apparently that is too difficult.

Sorry for the rant but I wanted to share my experience.

That's really good to know, I'm thinking of ordering parts from them in the future.

I got a good deal from them, but I really had to push hard to get $1200 worth of parts I paid for but which shipped several weeks late. Some of those parts never came, and I would have bought some accessories too, but felt lucky to escape with what I got. Threatening to post negatively on H-T sure made them hop to tho.

This reminds me, thanks. I still have to go back and make sure the final tally was right, and that I did not actually pay for some $120 stuff I never got. Shame too because they seemed like good guys.

Maybe they just need better management tools. If so, they should PM me, because that is the business I am in, and I could really help them, and cheaply, even barter for parts at cost.

I had given up hope, since it was about 3 years ago. I thought this new interest in getting things straightened out looked promising at first. Its a shame because they could have rectified the problem, and like I said I'm willing to forgive and forget if they just sent me something for my trouble. Maybe it is better business to take people's money and make them a one-time customer, as opposed to creating a positive relationship and having return customers. Who knows?

This could have been a post about how my order fell through the cracks but they did everything they could to make it right again. I would have used their name if that were the case.

Hell No, it's not good business! Exactly the opposite. It is SO much better to make a few bucks less on a single sale, and keep customers for life. I built and sold two businesses this way, and never spent ANY money on advertising. I had so many customers that I got to pick and choose who my clients were!

People who do business as quoted above, go out of business quickly.

Your rant is completely worthless without telling us the name of the company you were screwed by.

Agreed. If your loss does nothing else, it keeps other people from putting themselves in the same position.

I have read a few problems with them recently and makes me want to stay away from them.
