Re: Paypal email fraud alert!!!!!! (dust)
I got one sent to me just like that except it was for AOL .It looked very real and all of the links would take you the AOL sites. One thing that gave it away was that they asked for my credit card limit. Yea, OK.

Re: Paypal email fraud alert!!!!!! (turbosol)
Yep, I got an email once for netflix.com. Basically the guy used front page to download their sighup form which takes your cc # and exp and put it on his own server. First thing I noticed was the site was not secure, and then I looked and saw that it was on some Russian web server...hardy har.
I have to tell you though, as an online merchant I have experience with this, we get ripped off quite a bit, and it's so simple. The problem is, there is absolutely nothing I can do about it. When you are dealing with credit cards, the only people VISA/MC cares about is the card holder. If it comes to it though, they will leave even the cardholder holding the bag because they themselves will NEVER take a losss. Argh, now how did I get off on this rant...?
