Heat and idle.... what could be wrong?
I might not be alone with this thng but i still want to make sure if its suppose to be like that. Basically it hit high 80's and low 90's in MD for the past 2 days and after driving in stop and go traffic in this heat for an hour I noticed that my car was ideling at 1.5-2k Preety damn high!!!
Whenever Im in gears its fine, rpms go up and down quickly but once I hit clutch and shift to Neutral wham arrow raises up to 2k and stays there ideling. I thought it was something wrong with my idle adjustment but when the car cooled down it started ideling back at 750-900 again. Whats happening? It must be the heat and stop and go driving that caused it. Is it suppose to be like that?

TW SENSOR? I know all my vac lines are good, and I cleaned my IAV not to long ago, hmmmm i don't know. I think I have enough water in my radiator...hmmm
You checked the coolant level but when was the last time you had that system flushed....? Could the problem be you have too much water or too much pure coolant in the system?
btw: what is a TW sensor?

tw is the coolant temperature sensor ,, as it self explanatory it senses the coolant temperature and sends the results to ecu which in turn when engine is cold raises rpm for smoother start when cold and when it reaches operating temperature ecu lowers idle to normal specs ,,,i have seen some of these go bad normally they throw a code 6 but i have seen some fail and don't code , sending wrong signal to ecu when engine is warm making ecu think that coolant is cold thus ecu raises idle speed as if it was starting a cold start
