im trying to add new coilovers to my car and i couldnt get the lower fork arm nut off... its like stuck or something.. i tried using wd-40 but that wasnt much help .. someone please help me take this nut off...

thanks
You are talkin about the lower ball joint nut on the stud correct?
Probably the whole stud is turning as your are trying to remove the nut..
You need to appl pressure to the stud so it doesnt turn...if that is the case..

I just replaced my front lower control arms about a month ago. If I were you, I'd go get some pentrating lube (not WD-40...get something like Liquid Wrench), spray that all over it, put a socket on the bolt (so you don't screw it up) and hit it a few times with a hammer (aparently, hitting them with a hammer right after spraying that stuff on there helps it penetrate), reapply some more lube, and let it sit overnight to work its way in.
The next day, make sure you have a 1/2" socket driver and an extension and go to work. That's what it took to get just about every bolt down there off. I wouln't try this with anything but a 6 point socket, or you might round off your bolt heads. And, be careful not to break a bolt off somewhere...then you'll be SOL. However, I did notice that all my bolts were grade 8, so they'd be pretty tough to break anyway (but certainly posible).
Good luck!
