Default 98 Civic EX - Uneven Tire Wear

I am having uneven tire wear on my tires that aren't due to alignment. It's especially bad on the rear left tire. I believe my suspension could be going bad. What are the other causes?

If you're having uneven wear, the only cause would be alignment. Your toe or caster could be off on one side if somthing is bent or broken. Go to a shop and get a printout of the specs for a better idea of what's going on.

I'm going to take it to the shop soon to get it evaluated. HOpefully it's just the alignment.

like rice eater said check your tire pressure before you go. Youll be mad if you bring it to a shop and it ends up being air pressure. Also how are the tires wearing? i.e. on the inside of the tire, outside of the tire, in the middle of the tread or both the inside and the outside but not the middle? Hope this helps

well if you lowered your car then it its from the camber.

if its stock most likely one of your struts have gone bad, blown struts can reduce the tire life by more than half.

It's stock. The struts are what I suspect. I'm hoping it's just alignment so it doesn't cost me $$$ to fix. I had someone check it because my left rear tire is wearing more than the others. He said something about a bearing/bushing being cracked or something. Can anyone interpret what he meant?

are all four tires the same brand/model? if not, one tire 'could' have a lower treadwear rating and just naturally wear out quicker... it's not uncommon to see cars with different brands and models of tires on each wheel...

Actually that happened to me, but it's because I slid in a curb pretty hard.
