Im ready to start putting my motor together and i was gonna run this setup in my b18c5:

pct over sized pistons
stock itr rods
stock headgasket
bc spec 4 cams and valve train

i have been reading and reading the more i do it scares me about what my comp will be for a every day driver and such. I want my car to be reliable and run good, i def would not like to have to rebuild again so idk what to do.

when i got the bc stuff it came with a thinner head gasket so i have been thinking about maybe getting cp oversized pistons with eagle rods (11:5 comp.) or maybe just p30 pistons. I am so confused and tired right now from reading.

Your static CR would be around 11.75:1 with PCT pistons, and stock headgasket..

That is fine for a daily driver..

I would seriously clay that motor with BC 4 cams.. Not sure if the valve reliefs would suffice...

 

i thought it would be around 12:1 or higher........yea im planning on it but i think i saw that people were running these and skunk 2 with pct's.........what would the comp. be with p30's and the .5 mm gasket from bc?

is there anything better about the forged pistons then cast?

 

what im tryin to get at i think is will i regret doin this and not putting in p30's or somethin like cp's and eagle rods?

I like forged aftermarket pistons over the cast OEM variety.
