Default omnipower valve ??'s

quick question...how much would a set of omnipower flat faced valves raise compression?

...do they require to be run with upgraded springs?

ive HEARD that flat faced valves a generally heavier that stock which would make sense.. is this true with the omni's?

He's right.

I know im right because i talked to omniman myself before i purchased mine. Several dyno pulls later, with his full valvetrain and buddy club cams, well, the numbers are in the sig.

The reality is you really CANNOT say how much it will raise the compression. You need to specifically know the difference in volume between the stock valve and omni valve. If your chambers are welded up, then a flat bottom valve will increase CR much more substantially as the volume of the valve dish is a much larger percentage of the total chamber volume. Use the calcs and the following info to recalc your CR, as this will get you a more accurate result.

I requested this information and recieved the following:

A few questions regarding the B-series valves:
1) Weight comparison between an OEM Type R valve and the Omni Valves? about 4-6 grams
2) Total volume reduction (ie. Cc’s) per combustion chamber from running Omni flat-bottom valves as oppose to OEM Valves? about 3cc of volume is taken up
3) What precautions have been taken to avoid wear and deformation of the valve tips? Ie. Heat treat ops, surface hardening, etc.? the intake and exhaust valves use the same exact material as oem honda valves on the tips. (SUH11). the exhaust heads are also the same material as oem honda, ncf 751 which is very similar to inconel. its far superior to ev-8/suh35. if you do some research on the internet there are several websites that will confirm this. they will also give operating temp ranges of the different materials as well best uses.
