main relay?
ive heard the main relay in the EF's go out very easily. if it goes out would it cause the car to not turn over at all? i dont think the battery is dead because i try to jump it and i get nothing, but everything inside comes on. wtf could the problem be?
when you turn the key you should be able to hear the fuel pump behind the seats (it's actually under the rear storage compartment somewhere). If you don't hear it, it's probably your main relay.
ive just recently had the starter tested, checked out fine. of course that was about a month ago. but doesnt a starter just go out, and not just work half the time?
I just had the same problem you do. check the wires that are hooked to the starter. Also check your fuses cause you'll feel stupid over something simple. the main relay is over the hood release. what i did was. I took some wires and pluged them into the sockets that the relay plugs into. if it starts now. all you need to do is take the cover off the relay and theres a sheet of copper that touches the coil, now force the sheet down so it always touches. plug it in. start the bitch up tuck the relay back under.
