Default HELP..rear brakes

okay, here's my dilema now. its 94 del sol vtec and i wanted to redo the rear brake setup because the pads were going bad..(i got new rotors, pads, and calipers)

1. took off old setup
2. put new setup on..but i did it with the OLD calipers
3. (my friend smashed in the pistons with a hammer instead of turning it)
4. bled the system but the rear then seized and wouldnt unbrake
5. went out and bought the right tool to turn the OLD calipers the right way
6. tried putting it on the rotors (i only screwed in the 2 screws needed to hold the calipers to the rotor, i havent bled or put the ebrake on yet) anyways, when i tried turning the rear by hand, it woundnt budge. i unscrew those 2 screws a lil bit and it moves freely again.
7. im like, damn, its got to be broken. so i go out and buy new ones. try the same thing again (just putting on the 2 screws and it still wont budge (the new one already had the pistons preset). i havent bled the new ones yet (if i did i would void a refund).

so my ? is what am i doing wrong....the rotors and pads are put on CORRECT.

yup.it definitely seems the caliper was your problem after your friend ruined them,so go ahead and finish installing the new ones and you should be good to go.
make your retarded friend "refund" your money

BTW: Make your friend pay for your new cailper. The only kind of hammer that should ever come within 20 feet of your car is a rubber hammer.

did you adjust the e-brake cable at all?any chance it's now too tight and constantly putting pressure on the brakes?

did he hit the piston with the hammer, or just place the hammer on the piston and push until it went in? I can't even count how many times i've done the latter without problems at all.

yep, did that but i have new calipers now. still wont budge. if i loosen the 2 bolts that hold the caliper to rotors, then it kind of spins. but im not sure if thats too safe

Did the rotor spin freely without the caliper on at all? Could you shim the caliper bolts to make it spin?
Could the wheel bearing be seized?

by the way that tool for turning the caliper piston is only a few bucks or easily taken from local Kragens or other crappy autoparts stores.

rotor can spin freely without calipers. it will spin freely if i loosen it (caliper is still on the rotors, but about 80% tight) but if do 100% tightening on it, then it wont turn..need help

I hope you have the right pads on. Usually if you have the wrong ones the thickness of the pad material will clamp the rotor into place making you think it's the calipers problem. 10 yrs ago when I replaced my rear pads with Autozone brand, the morons there gave me the wrong parts (DX pads instead of EX ones)

The DX pads were definitely thicker but I didn't think about them until I installed them and I couldn't get the rotor to turn freely.

Just a thought here.

Should be BUT you know how the employees can still choose the wrong part. I'd just get a OEM Honda piece(It's not that expensive you know $30-$40). BTW have you tried putting the old pads on with the new calipers. If it turns freely when you torque them down completely then I'm pointing towards the pads as the culprit.
