just can't get enough... just got some today but I can't wait. me so horny.
just got home from thunderhill. about to eat, sleep, then head back up tomororw. Finally I've driven a Porsche. It's 98 C4S, man the pedals are soooo weird they pivot from the bottom. Took a bit to get used to them. Looks like in 996+ they finally gone back to conventional. C4S has Initial understeer but it's easy to steer with the throttle. WIth the turbo body/wheels, it's kinda funky the rear is a bit wnider than the front. So I'd clip the the edge of the berm on the front, but the rear would get on the berm a little bit. 13 second cars feels so much faster than mine. There really is a pretty big different in 0-100 times for a car that is 1 sec. faster in the quarter... As much as I love b16a, I need to step up the displacement... soon.
I'm gonna see if I can convince the 996 Turbo owner for a test drive tomorrow. Heheh. There's a 2002 BMW M3 SMG too.
Today I think I'm about 2:19 or so. On KD's. I think once I fix my mushy pedal and go full out, I should be able to find a 2:17 on KD's. So figure maybe 2:15 on A032 or something.
I heard fast spec Miata's turn 2:11-12's... wow. ITA Record is also 2:11. Man looks like I need to find a few more second somewhere...

cage? who needs cage... i don't even run the front and rear bumper support! yet POS delsol still weights 2300 lbs... what a pig.
tires? any tire will do. bring the blue's, we'll slap it on at the track, and no need for duct it's nice and cool out.
haha. anyway, just stop by. bring a helmet, TQ events are great you can hitch rides all day long if you want. of course i'll be glad to give you a lift too.

hmm well i didn't see you i don't think...
M3 SMG was sweet.
I put on old a008Rs and got the lap times down to 2:14's in the last session. engine is not happy, burning a lot of oil. i need to do a leak down. car is also much slower than before. it used to do 60-100 mph in 9 sec flat, i timed it today it took 10.8 second. sucks.

No fair. I went to the battletrack event a couple of weeks ago (only $100!!) and promptly boiled my fluid after the track dried out and warmed up. Also took a couple of sessions to get used to the full track (no stupid chicane at 1 too
). That little drop (9?) reminds me of the old 680 -- I miss that roller coaster section near the bridge. Anybody going next week for the HPDE?

Nope. Even after a cool down lap my rotors registered above some guy's gun pyrometer (apparently limited to 600 deg). Was ok (380 deg) on 3rd session. On 4th session, just indicated a bunch of dashes. Beauty of an (under-rotored, underducted) almost stock car.
Get some sleep dude. And keep an eye on those CHPs (saw one last time with radar on continuously).
