oil leck in spark plugs
ok i have an 2000 civic turbo d16y.........the first spark plug gets gettin oil in it...i have replaced the gasket on the head cover and use hondabond to seal it around the outside of the gasket and im still getin a leck......can some one help me?
so there is oil coming from the top and going down to the top of the spark plug? If so, it might be that the valve cover isnt sealing right with the spark plug chamber. take the valve cover off and look inside it...check the black o-ring gasket lookin things and see if they are worn or cracked. my buddy had that problem. let me know what happened
eah its definitly the ring gskets that go around the spark plug holes on the valve cover jus double check them and see.thats only if the top is.If its the bottom it could e piston rings.
actually i had the same problem... its the seals under the rocker assembly for sure i had an oil leak in the cylinder i just bought new o rings and replaced them put the assembly back to torque specs and boom gone
