I just put head back together and when i use a wrench on the end of the cams, one of them is hard to turn over, seems like 1 & 4 are sticking, what should i do, the other one turns very well, cams are tourqued to specs.. Any info would be great.

Nothing was changed just takin apart changed head gasket and put back together.

hmm..try loosening the spark plugs, it might help a little

 

by "1 and 4 are sticking" do you mean valves seem to be sticking?cylinders??
are you taking into consideration that the valves springs make the cams hard to turn?
do you have the timing belt on?if so,both cams should take the same effort to turn since they're both turning.if the belt is off,are you cramming valves into a piston,thus making it hard to turn the cam?

just turning the cam gears to make sure all the valves are working properly, seems to be exasut cvalves on cylinders 1 and 4 are sticking, the cam closeest to the back side tunrs fine, front cam turn fine, but one the cam lobes hit the rockers it turns really hard, ne help would be great

 

got it figured out, The valves were just hardly hitting the top of the pistons, it is normal, ( so it says in the manual)

when does it say it's okay for the valves to contact the pistons?!and how it that normal?

Hey i can scan the page out of the haynes manual for ya, its not NORMAL for it to happen but if the Cyl #1 is at TDC the valves will slightly touch the piston if u turn over the cams with the engine at TDC
I didn't mean it was NORMAL for this to do so, just that it will happen if u turn over the cams with the cyl#1 at TDC
Problem Solved engine should be running tomorrow see ya

i'd like to see that.no offense to you,but i can't believe they would say it's okay for that to happen.you could easily damage parts doing that.if you do need to rotate the cams separate of the crank for some reason,i'd think they would recommend you find a crank position where none of the pistons are at TDC.
