well, if you have keyless entry, you need 3 harnesses (best buy) (need these to keep keyless entry), the stereo, and the metal jacket that comes with the stereo.

I alread have an aftermarket radio installed and keyless entry works. I want to put it where the cup holders are. I was told I need a 96-98 civic cup holder but I am not sure what other parts I need.

thats only with the first gen ek (96-98)

as far as moving the radio down below, you will not be able to use parts from the first gen ek because the dash lines are different. you should just have to cut some area off, and make a new bracket. May i ask why u want to move your radio down there?

96-98 cupholders
You may have to extend some wires...I dont know for sure.

To do it right, you'll also need
77297-S04-000ZZ BRKT, L. FR. CONSOLE
77296-S04-000ZZ BRKT, R. FR. CONSOLE
Both are like $17ea
They hold the unit in place...I didnt use them.

The reason mine is there, is so I can put gauges in the upper din

So it will be harder to see that I have a cd player.

If I get this: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...&rd=1

What will I need besides the bracket? Will I still need the radion surround?

just the brackets
You'll just be removing the cd deck (see last pic on ebay) and inserting your own.
On mine, I had to do some filing to make the insert fit...but that wasnt a big deal

I have my Alpine in the lower din on my 98. I didn't have to use anything other than the wiring harness to hook it up. You may need an extender for your antenna lead, but probably not. I didn't hook mine up as I never listen to the radio.

The only problem I have with it is the cup holder cover won't open all the way and some drinks don't fit all the way anymore. I plan on fixing this, but it's not a high priority.

What if I get this one: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...&rd=1 is it the samething without the radio? The reason I would want this one is it looks like it is in better shape than the other one.

Is the din pocket what the radio is in on the first Ebay link?

I know what your talking about. I guess I will get the first one. If there are scratches they probably can be removed somehow.
