Price depends on what you get. If you're going to powercoat it, ask them to send your bar UNPAINTED. It's going to chip no matter what you do, trust me. Unless you don't drive the car, you'll chip it here and there. Who cares? Pad that phuker!

Ken at ioport is GREAT to deal with. I'll be going back to him when I purchase the cage for the hybrid.

Both the ERW and DOM will most likely come painted. However, you can request them to be shipped unpainted. As previously mentioned, the cage will become scratched during shipment. The advantage to the DOM bar is that while being smaller in diameter, it's actually stronger than the ERW...

They are very good prices, and they help/customer service you get from I/O Port is top notch! There is no price difference between painted and unpainted. The difference between DOM and ERW is simply diameter/thickness. Finished product will weigh the same and be equally strong. The *real* DOM vs. ERW pricing changes at Autopower's discression, so call Ken and find out the latest. Shipping cost me in the $50 range for the full race bar with both removable options. Expect to wait 4-6 weeks, depending.

Last I heard, they were no longer doing bars out of anything but ERW.

Could be...when I ordered mine, there was a fat sur-charge on DOM for anything other than the 6pt cage. So they won't even do it anymore? No biggie I guess, ERW is just fine.

Does anyone have a pic of the 4-pt bar with the two cross braces removed? I know it would be a pain to use the rear seats for passangers, but is it possible? Has anyone tried to get in and out of the back seat like this? I would probably leave the cross braces out except for race weekends.

Thanks,

-Floyd

I wouldn't put anyone in the back seat, with or without the cross brace and harness bar. There was a thread on this earlier where I posted some pics, but I can't find it.
