Default help just wanted to know single v boosting

if any has any answers i kind of know this one
i did a compression check on my car all cylinders are 180 except the number 1 its 152 how bad is that.
i thinking of putting my rev hard kit on how long will it last if im boosting 7lbs.
im probably going to do the rings and rod bearings though but getting anxious i just wanted in the rev hard kit.

help
ok guys put in new piston rings and rod bearings compression is good and no check engine codes fuel pressure at 38 to 45 new spark plug wires cap rotor spark plugs fuel filter, now i have a new problem my car feels like something is holding back

what do you think it could be?

oh yeah sometimes the car will pull like its suppose to but most of the time it doesnt

i was thinking maybe my fuel pressure regulator its the cheap aem or this might sound stupid my driver side brake line has a very small leak but enough to see the brake fluid come out i was thinking maybe the air it sucks back in could cause the brake to engage while im driving but who knows i sure dont

According to the helms, you should have a min of 135 with a max spread of 28.

180 - 152 = 28

You're right on the edge of a rebuild. Did you repeat any of the cylinders, take an average of readings, or just one reading? I'd say no boost for you in any case.

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by jaydmegsix &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">did it like 3 times one of my bodys at a shop said to pour some oil in the cylinder and see if that makes a differance i need to try that

All that does is seal the rings better, so if the numbers go up in that cylender after adding oil (since the motor should be warm and well lubricated while testing) it means that you definitely are at the low end of the operating limits of the motor.

You can get a really cheap leak tester from Harbor Freight or Northern Tool.
That would help determin whether it's your rings or your valves.
