Default help just wanted to know single v boosting

if any has any answers i kind of know this one
i did a compression check on my car all cylinders are 180 except the number 1 its 152 how bad is that.
i thinking of putting my rev hard kit on how long will it last if im boosting 7lbs.
im probably going to do the rings and rod bearings though but getting anxious i just wanted in the rev hard kit.

ok guys put in new piston rings and rod bearings compression is good and no check engine codes fuel pressure at 38 to 45 new spark plug wires cap rotor spark plugs fuel filter, now i have a new problem my car feels like something is holding back

what do you think it could be?

oh yeah sometimes the car will pull like its suppose to but most of the time it doesnt

i was thinking maybe my fuel pressure regulator its the cheap aem or this might sound stupid my driver side brake line has a very small leak but enough to see the brake fluid come out i was thinking maybe the air it sucks back in could cause the brake to engage while im driving but who knows i sure dont

theres no telling thats too far apart. You might be burnin oil in the cylinder.

more than 10% variation between cylinders is the limit, anyting more, u want to do a leakdown test and see where the problem lies

i wouldnt boost that, it will bring bigger headacehs down the road

do it right the first time

i would be running 11's by now if i would have.... so learn a lesson

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by USDM 4G VTEC &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">more than 10% variation between cylinders is the limit, anyting more, u want to do a leakdown test and see where the problem lies

Please read the bold in the quote. You <U>definitely</U> want to do this. I just had this happen to me: compression was 175 across the board, but the leakdown showed a problem in #2. My guess is it was the rings, but I haven't seen them (the block was yanked and sent to ERL and I haven't been to the shop since so I can't say for sure that it was the rings).

Holy ****, I just re-read your post.....fix your break line THAT'S INSANELY DANGEROUS. Unless you like not having brake fluid to help you stop after a 4th gear pull

I doubt that it is your FPR. Yes they aren't the best, but a lot of people use them and never have any problems. Do the leakdown.
